This article illustrates, through analytical examples, how in the process of metaphorical nomination the author’s worldview undergoes a unique cultural and conceptual transformation. The ideas about theworld in the consciousness of a linguistic individual become a valuable foundation for understanding realitythrough metaphor. In particular, the conceptual basis of the analyzed linguistic and authorial metaphors showsthat the linguistic picture of the world can be understood by linking it to certain concepts of world perception.
