The era and situation require language and linguistics to respond to the call of society. Wordappropriation is an easy method that takes less time than the creation of a new word and its recognition bysociety. Therefore, it helps to save time, a new word quickly attracts the attention of society, arouses interest,and is easily absorbed into the mind and language. The integration of the nation that owns the language isfacilitated. In addition, borrowed terms are distinguished by their laconic (short) character. The article discusses the issue of attitude to word appropriation in world linguistics, the language policies of governments.
