The article analyzes the role of authored fairy tales in teaching Russian as a foreign language (RFL) from the perspective of their linguistic, cultural, and methodological potential. The structural and se- mantic features of authored fairy tales are examined, as well as their functional significance in develop- ing language competence and mastering national and cultural concepts. The study includes an analysis of methodological approaches to integrating authored fairy tales into the educational process, considering their impact on the cognitive and communicative strategies of learners. The necessity of using this genre in the training of philologists and RFL teachers is substantiated, as it facilitates vocabulary expansion, acquisition of pragmatic norms, and development of interpretative skills.
