When creating a work, whether it is epic or lyrical, certain elements are necessary for the plot to move forward and achieve the writer’s goal. The most important of these are motifs (motive images). This concept is a link that connect events in terms of artistic, logical, and content. In this article, motive in liter- ary studies. The emergence of the term, the images it contains, and the scientific views and conclusions of literary scholars are analyzed. The role and artistic significance of the moif image in works are theoretically explained.
