The article explores the source study of Jadid publishing, which played an important role in the socio-political and cultural life of Turkestan in the early 20th century. Sources related to the topic are classified and analyzed. A comparative study was conducted on materials concerning the emergence of the Jadid periodic press, the opening of private printing houses, and the publication of various textbooks and works. In particular, the periodic press, archival documents, works and memoirs of the Jadids, as well as written and material artifacts preserved in various museums, were investigated as primary sources.
