Annotatsiya

In the 16th-19th centuries, economic and legal relations were systematically organized in the markets of the Khiva Khanate. The market head, chairman, accountant, customs officer, money changer, and broker participating in the market activities had certain tasks and legal status. They, according to their duties, acted to ensure order, justice, and transparency in the trading process based on Sharia. One of the main tasks of religious organizations in market management was to develop Sharia norms for the market system and regulate legal relations through them. This article analyzes the activities and legal status of the market head, chairman, accountant, money changers, and brokers in the markets of the Khiva Khanate.
