The Khiva Khanate, as a result of its conquest by the Russian Empire, became a colonial state and lost its material and cultural wealth. The colonial system had a great impact not only on the socio-political life of the khanate, but also on its economic life. This article analyzes the Russian invasion and its impact on the economic life of the khanate.
