This article analyzes the issues of resettlement of the population evacuated to the territory of the Uzbek SSR during the Second World War. In particular, the distribution of the evacuated population by region based on the preliminary and additional plans developed as of November 13, 1941 is highlighted. The study reveals the number of people resettled in Samarkand, Bukhara, Tashkent, Fergana and other regions, as well as the republic's position as a strategic area behind the front line based on archival materials. It also analyzes the problems associated with expanding the capacity to receive the population and organizing evacuation processes during the war.
