Currently, antioxidants play an important role in protecting the body from oxidative stress caused by free radicals. Free radicals formed as a result of biochemical processes in the body disrupt the oxidation-reduction balance of cells, which leads to the development of various pathological processes in the body. One of the methods for assessing antioxidant activity is the DPPH (2,2-diphenyl-1-picrylhydrazyl) method, widely used to analyze the antiradical capacity of various biological compounds, including ailanthus oil. This article discusses the DPPH method for determining the antiradical activity of ailanthus oil and its importance in studies of antioxidant properties.
