This article explores the cognitive nature of the stylistic device. The methodological device is considered as a means of knowing the world around us, as well as a knowledge structure that conveys different types of knowledge structures (encyclopedic, literary, historical, mythological, etc.). A detailed classification of the stylistic device itself is given.
