This article examines the policy of economic pressure of the Soviet state in relation to entrepreneurial peasant farms, referred to as “kulak” farms, on the eve of the complete collectivization of agriculture in Uzbekistan. The analysis of the regulatory and legal bases of economic restriction and displacement of kulak farms is carried out, and generalized data on the number of peasant farms subject to individual agricultural tax in Uzbekistan are presented.
