Cervical diseases, including precancerous lesions, remain a major challenge in modern gynecology and gynecologic oncology. Despite the introduction of screening programs, cervical cancer remains a leading cause of cancer in premenopausal women. In recent years, particular attention has been paid to precancerous changes in the cervical epithelium, which are potentially reversible with timely diagnosis and treatment.
