The choice of treatment strategy for dolichosigma requires an individualized approach based on a comprehensive analysis of the clinical and functional state of the intestine. The effectiveness of conservative therapy should be evaluated according to specific criteria, with consideration of the patient’s quality of life indicators, followed by an appropriate clinical decision. However, to date, unified standardized criteria and clear indications determining the transition from conservative management to surgical intervention have not been developed.
