The complexity of treatment and rehabilitation of patients with open bifocal comminuted long bone fractures with extensive bone tissue defects is due to the combination of an increased risk of infectious complications from the open wound and the necessity to restore a significant volume of bone tissue to unite the proximal and distal fragments of the long tubular bones. A method of fracture treatment involving defect replacement with an autograft is described, ensuring preservation of limb length and reduction in the risk of pathological processes.
