Crohn's Disease (CD) is characterized by a chronic, slowly progressing course, with localization of the pathological process in any part of the gastrointestinal tract. It is typical for young individuals, most frequently affecting the terminal ileum (terminal ileitis) and the proximal part of the colon.OBJECTIVE OF THE STUDY: To develop optimal methods for the diagnosis and treatment of Crohn's disease.MATERIALS AND METHODS:The study involved 94 patients who received inpatient treatment at the Republican Scientific Center of Coloproctology of the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Uzbekistan from 1992 to 2025. Among them were 66 men (70.2%) and 28 women (29.8%). The age of the patients ranged from 30 to 74 years.RESULTS:All patients underwent a course of conservative treatment. In 61 patients (55.9%) with various complications of Crohn's disease, after a short course of conservative therapy aimed at alleviating acute symptoms and taking into account comorbid conditions, various surgical interventions were performed.Indications for surgery included the ineffectiveness of conservative treatment and the presence of complications such as:Bleeding in 18 patients (28.1%)Colonic strictures in 14 patients (21.8%). Enteroenteric fistulas in 3 patients (4.8%).Small intestine strictures in 7 patients (10.9%).Rectal fistulas in 6 patients (9.4%).Colonic pseudopolyposis in 6 patients (9.4%).Toxic colonic dilatation in 2 patients (3.1%).A combination of several complications in 8 patients (12.5%).CONCLUSIONS: In 12.5% of patients with Crohn's disease, a combination of multiple complications was observed. The presence of multiple complications is an absolute indication for surgical intervention.
