Hirudotherapy is a very ancient method that has not lost its effectiveness over the centuries. Due to the positive effect on the rheology of the body, hirudotherapy is used as an effective method of treating many diseases. The most obvious positive aspect, demonstrated separately, was proven in ischemic stroke and diabetes mellitus.
