This article explores the influence of Confucian traditions on the Korean language, which form an essential part of Korean culture and worldview. It examines key Confucian principles such as filial piety, hierarchy, and harmony, and their impact on the language’s structure, vocabulary, and grammatical features. Particular attention is given to the honorific speech levels, used to express social status and respect in interpersonal communication. The study analyzes examples of specific vocabulary and grammatical constructions that reflect Confucian values and addresses the challenges faced by non-native speakers learning the Korean language. Emphasis is placed on the importance of philosophical and cultural knowledge for a deeper understanding of the language and successful intercultural communication.
