The subject of the study in the presented article is the empirically substantiated results obtained during an experimental analysis aimed at creating and testing a methodological approach to the formation of psychological stability in highly qualified athletes in Greco‑Roman wrestling. The purpose of the study is to develop a program package of psychopedagogic and training activities, as well as to verify its effectiveness as a factor that increases the ability to adequately self—regulate in a competitive environment. The work contributes to the theory of mental training of athletes, demonstrating a methodologically structured way of transforming mental resources into practical self-regulatory skills. The practical significance lies in the possibility of integrating the proposed program into the preparatory cycles of teams and individual plans of high-level athletes.
