В статье исследуются особенности семантической деривации в профессиональных дискурсах – юридическом, медицинском и экономическом. Рассматриваются механизмы смыслового развития терминов, включая процессы метафоризации, метонимии, специализации и генерализации. Подчёркивается роль контекста в устранении омонимии и обеспечении точности профессиональной коммуникации. Отмечается, что семантическая деривация способствует формированию терминологических систем и отражает динамику профессионального мышления, являясь важным инструментом когнитивного и нормативного функционирования языка в специализированных сферах.
