This article analyzes the communicative functions of neologisms in English and Uzbek from both linguistic and socio-cultural perspectives. Globalization, technological development, the growth of the internet, and the expansion of information and communication tools play a significant role in the modern development of languages. In particular, the need to express new concepts, technologies, and phenomena has rapidly accelerated the formation of neologisms. Neologisms serve not only to convey information quickly and accurately but also to enrich stylistic expression, reflect modernity, indicate social identity, and signal group affiliation. The article explores the mechanisms of neologism formation in English and Uzbek, their role in information exchange, strengthening social communication, and enhancing stylistic diversity. The analysis shows that neologisms in English emerge quickly and systematically, while in Uzbek, they often enter the language through translation and borrowing. Additionally, the article emphasizes the impact of internet culture and mass media as powerful sources of neologism generation. In conclusion, the study highlights that in both languages, neologisms have become a key tool of modern communication and an integral part of linguistic development, cultural identity, and collective thinking.
