Selecting and applying effective teaching methods is a crucial factor in improving the quality of the educational process in foreign language instruction. In particular, the problem-based reading method can serve as an effective tool for developing communication skills, critical thinking, and creativity in students learning the German language. This article provides a comprehensive overview of foreign language teaching methodology, specifically the theoretical foundations of the problem-based reading method, its historical development stages, its classroom application mechanisms, and its methodological significance.
