The article examines the multidimensional relationship between morphofunctional indicators and the level of physical fitness of 12–13-year-old schoolchildren using canonical correlation analysis. The results of the study revealed that indicators of morphological development, particularly body height and the proportion of muscle tissue, are closely associated with speed-strength qualities. An increase in the proportion of subcutaneous fat was found to have a negative effect on motor performance. The obtained results indicate that canonical correlation analysis is an effective statistical tool for the comprehensive and scientifically grounded assessment of schoolchildrenʼs physical fitness.
