The article presents an analysis of the performances of women’s technical duets participating in the World Aquatics Championships held in Doha in 2024. The aim of the study is to compare the results of technical programs in the preliminary stage and the final, as well as to assess the declared and confirmed difficulty of the programs. The research methods include comparative analysis, analysis of competition protocols, and generalization of athletes’ competitive performance. The article considers the execution of required technical elements, additional hybrids, and pair acrobatics, as well as the influence of technical difficulty control on the final result. It was found that nine duets increased the declared difficulty of their programs in the final, four duets improved their total score compared with the preliminary stage, while for several teams the reduction of confirmed difficulty significantly affected their final ranking.
