The article analyzes the specific features of planning the means used at the initial training stage of basketball players in sports schools of Uzbekistan. It examines the ratio of various types of training within the educational and training process and compares it with the practices of sports schools in advanced foreign countries. Such an analysis makes it possible to identify existing problems in the distribution of training means and training hours, as well as to determine the need for their revision, taking into account modern requirements for the development of basketball. This, in turn, may contribute to addressing the tasks set by the countryʼs leadership for the development of sport, improving the effectiveness of training young basketball players, and ensuring high performance by national teams in prestigious competitions.
