This article analyzes the role and significance of corpus linguistics in the translation process. Corpus linguistics aids translators in determining the contextual usage of language units, selecting equivalent variants, and enhancing translation quality. Theoretically, the application of corpora in translation is associated with various approaches and principles, while in practice, the effectiveness of utilizing different types of corpora - parallel and comparable corpora – is demonstrated. The article highlights the advantages and challenges of corpus analysis in translation based on newspaper texts and reveals linguistic patterns through real examples.
