This study aims to develop a computational framework to evaluate the factors that influence the intention of using computer linguistic tools, combining the variables found in the AHP model with other external variables such as word frequency, semantic similarity, collocational strength, syntactic patterns, and lexical diversity. To obtain an accurate estimate, we propose a hybrid analytical approach based on AHP and regression. Data compiled from various linguistic corpora in English language research are used to test the formulated hypotheses. The results of this study reflect what linguistic attributes should be considered and how they are quantified using computational tools. The results of this analysis also provide a reference for further investigations on the structural properties and semantic relationships of word combinations under the background of computational linguistics. Hence, we may conclude that our computational approach deserves more empirical validation and theoretical exploration.
