This article is devoted to the topic “Integration of traditional and modern teaching methods in teaching English”, the theoretical views and ideas on the integration of traditional and modern technologies into the teaching process presented in the scientific research of various scientists are analyzed, the experience of using them in our country and foreign pedagogical activities is studied. At the same time, the possibilities and advantages of harmonizing traditional and modern methods in teaching English are highlighted, the experience of using them in the field of pedagogy in our country and abroad is studied, and the mistakes and shortcomings made are studied using examples. The combination of traditional and modern teaching methods is of great importance in effective English language teaching. While traditional methods strengthen the theoretical foundations of the language, modern approaches make it interactive and interesting. Thus, by using both approaches in a balanced way, the process of students learning English can be more effective.
