This article examines the legal foundations of judicial control over the activities of the probation service, revealing its theoretical and legal nature as well as the powers established by current legislation. Particular attention is paid to the role of judicial oversight in safeguarding human rights and freedoms during the implementation of probation measures and to the legal and organizational challenges arising in practice.
