This article examines the role of women in home-based handicrafts across the Bukhara region (1991–2025) through a three-stage periodization and legislative reform lens. It evaluates the impact of traditional crafts on female employment while offering a comparative analysis of informal sector dynamics and official statistical limitations alongside local and international gender scholarship.
