This article provides a scientific and theoretical analysis of the pedagogical essence of 21st century skills, their structural components, as well as their role and significance in the education system of academic lyceums. The interpretation of 21st century skills based on the competency-based approach, the didactic foundations of their development, and the specific features of their implementation in the context of digital education are revealed. The research findings serve as a methodological basis for improving the educational process aimed at developing critical thinking, creativity, communication, collaboration, and digital literacy among academic lyceum students.
