Abstract. This article analyzes the suffixal structure of simple adjective-based units in linguistic terminology using structural-semantic and comparative approaches. The study examines derivational processes, semantic and functional properties of suffixes, their role in linguistic terminology systems, and their importance in scientific discourse. A comparative analysis of English adjective-forming suffixes is also provided with typological parallels in Uzbek. The results demonstrate that suffixation is one of the most productive mechanisms in linguistic term formation.
