This article provides a comparative analysis of the verbalization of the authorial subject and the discursive model of epistemic responsibility in English and Uzbek scientific discourse. The study aims to determine how the status of theoretical construction is realized in scientific texts through the use of “I,” “we,” impersonal constructions, and passive forms. The results of the analysis show that, in English scientific discourse, epistemic responsibility is expressed in an individualized form and is constructed on the basis of argumentative legitimation. In Uzbek scientific discourse, epistemic responsibility is verbalized through more collectivized and impersonal strategies. This difference is associated with the cultural and institutional configuration of scientific thinking and gives rise to two different models of epistemological positionality.
