This article examines the functional capabilities of modern electronic dictionaries and their role in language learning. The study focuses on the English and Uzbek languages, highlighting features such as fast search, multimodal data presentation, interactivity, and contextual translation. It also discusses how electronic dictionaries contribute to the development of learners’ lexical competence, support autonomous learning, and improve overall learning efficiency in digital educational environments.
