Young interpreters see simultaneous interpretation as the culmination of their training. As young interpreters, in recent years we have excited learning the ins and outs of simultaneous interpreting and the challenges it can face. Indeed, once consecutive interpreting has been fully mastered, simultaneous interpreting training has provided young professionals with the final technical skills needed to enter the job market. These skills teach young interpreters to adapt to the environment during the process of simultaneous interpretation, to use different translation strategies appropriately.
