Close cooperation between lawyers and philologists in the field of language application in legislation is highlighted. Every year, interest in legal linguistics is growing. This is quite natural, because the quality of existing laws depends on the level of technical and legal perfection of the adopted laws. This article is devoted to the study of issues of mutual influence and mutual reinforcement of language and law as related sciences. It has been established that law exists in a linguistic form, which is a kind of text. The article examines the formation of legal linguistics as an interdisciplinary field. Particular attention is paid to linguistic expertise, which is in demand in criminal, civil cases, as well as cases of administrative offenses.
