This article provides a comprehensive analysis of the effectiveness of non-custodial sentences in the Republic of Uzbekistan through the lens of their resocialization potential. It examines the theoretical and legal foundations of offender resocialization, the regulatory framework governing alternative sanctions, and their practical implementation. Based on statistical data and judicial practice, the study identifies key challenges, including insufficient organizational support, weak inter-agency coordination, and a predominantly formal approach to sentence execution. The author substantiates the need for a shift towards a systemic model focused on the genuine rehabilitation of offenders. The paper proposes key areas for improvement, including legal reform, system digitalization, the development of resocialization programs, and enhanced cooperation with the private sector. It concludes that the effectiveness of non-custodial sanctions depends not on their form, but on the quality of the institutional environment in which they are implemented.
