This article explores the development of the muammo genre in Uzbek literature across various historical periods, from ancient times to the present day. Special attention is given to the Turkish poet Ahmad al-Muammoiy and his work "Risalat al-Muammo." The article analyzes different types of muammo, poetic techniques, and symbolism used in this genre, as well as its impact on the formation of literary tradition in Uzbekistan.
