In this article, along with an analysis of constructions with a complex structural appositional component, the usage, placement, and semantic-syntactic properties of such constructions within sentences are examined. The additional meaning conveyed by the appositional elements in these constructions, either to the essence of the main expression (sentence) or to a specific component of the main expression, demonstrates their communicative properties. Moreover, the communicative functions of the appositional elements in constructions with appositional components in characteristic forms have been studied. The views and opinions of renowned linguists S. E. Kryuchkov and A. B. Shapiro on constructions with appositional components are also discussed.
