The article presents a scientific analysis of the interpretation and development of critical thinking in higher education as discussed in foreign literature. The study examines both the theoretical and practical aspects of the concept of critical thinking. Various methods, techniques, and approaches to developing critical thinking in foreign academic research are examined in detail, with their significance and effectiveness for high school students evaluated. The article also addresses the role of teachers in fostering critical thinking, the characteristics of educational tools, and the potential for integrating innovative technologies into the educational process. The author’s scientific and practical contributions aim to improve the methodology of critical thinking and modernize the educational process.
