This article discusses the results, theoretical foundations, and practical significance of methods aimed at improving the methodology for preparing students for research activities in the process of teaching general professional subjects. The study analyzes the possibilities of developing students’ independent thinking, creative approaches, and innovative competencies through the integration of research elements into the educational process and presents the results obtained. The research was conducted in accordance with a priority area of national scientific and technological development: “The formation of a system of innovative ideas and ways to implement them in the social, legal, economic, cultural, spiritual, and educational development of an information society and a democratic state”.
