This study examines the linguistic and sociolinguistic characteristics of terms that are used to express negative emotions. The terms "anger," "reproach," "insult," "mockery," "irony," and "complaint" are analyzed in detail, employing definitions, synonyms, and antonyms from a variety of sources. The scientific explanations of each term and the opinions of different authors are compared and contrasted. The study also encompasses the sociolinguistic and linguistic-cultural characteristics of each term.
