This scientific article analyzes the role of folk proverbs in modern Uzbek and English prose. Proverbs, as a cultural and literary resource, have deep significance in conveying cultural values, moral lessons, and eternal wisdom, contributing to the spiritual enrichment of readers. The study focuses on how folk wisdom influences the enrichment of narrative, character, and themes of literary works in both cultural traditions. It demonstrates the universal significance and continuing influence of these traditional sayings on modern literature by examining their use in selected literary texts.
