Annotatsiya

This article focuses on the study of proverbs, sayings and idiomatic expressions in English that reflect a wide range of cultural values, beliefs and social standards related to the topic of wealth. The authors analyze the meanings, origins and cultural attributes of the term “wealth” as it is represented in paremiological units. The purpose of the study is to explore how the concept of wealth is perceived, valued and criticized in the English linguistic tradition. Particular attention is paid to cultural attitudes toward wealth, including aspiration, skepticism, and moral caution, to illuminate the complex relationships between language and social norms.
