This article presents a comparative analysis of traditional and modern methods for teaching the Russian language in pedagogical universities. It examines the main features and effectiveness of classical approaches alongside innovative technologies and interactive teaching methods. The study employs observation, surveys, and curriculum analysis. The results demonstrate that integrating modern methods enhances students’ motivation and communicative competence. The discussion includes recommendations for optimizing the teaching process and prospects for further research in Russian language pedagogy.
