The concept of economic litigation has been defined differently in academic circles. Some scholars consider it to be the activity of economic courts aimed at resolving economic disputes and regulated by procedural legislation. Others interpret it as a separate branch of law, scientific field, and academic discipline. A third group of legal scholars defines it as the procedure for resolving disputes through state arbitration, departmental arbitration, arbitration courts, as well as directly by the parties involved in the contractual relationship themselves.
