This article examines the cognitive-semantic models of the “MetaSelf” metaphor in global sports media discourse and explores their cross-cultural interpretations. The study analyzes the mechanisms of metaphor formation, its conceptual function in shaping the perception of identity, and the linguo-cognitive features observed in English and Uzbek contexts. Special attention is paid to the influence of socio-cultural factors on metaphorical expression in sports media and their significance within media communication. The findings reveal that the MetaSelf metaphor functions as an effective tool for enhancing intercultural communication in global discourse.
