This article discusses the fundamental role of the Euler function and Euler's theorem in public-key cryptosystems, in particular the RSA algorithm. The article analyzes the mathematical foundations of the Euler function, its multiplicative property, the proof of Euler's theorem, and their cryptographic applications. It also discusses the computational complexity of the Euler function and its impact on the cryptographic strength of cryptosystems, as well as the relevance and application prospects of the Euler function in modern cryptography.
