This article discusses the issue of statistical analysis of electrocardiogram (ECG) signals. The main goal of the study is to determine the main characteristics of the signals by constructing a covariance matrix based on important parameters extracted from ECG signals and calculating its eigenvalues ​​and eigenvectors. Using eigenvalues, the information distribution in ECG signals was evaluated and the most important components were selected. Eigenvectors, in turn, allowed the signal space to be projected onto new axes, reducing the data size and simplifying the analysis.
