Abstract: This article examines the ElGamal encryption algorithm, an important component of modern cryptography. The basic principles of the algorithm, its mathematical foundations, and cryptographic security aspects are analyzed. The complexity of key generation, the efficiency of encryption and decryption processes are described in detail. The article reveals the role and importance of the ElGamal algorithm in modern information security problems.
