This paper investigates the construction of a quadrature formula based on B-spline functions for the approximate evaluation of definite integrals. In the study, the integrand is approximated using B-spline basis functions based on discrete values at nodal points. The coefficients of the quadrature formula are determined from the obtained approximation. The accuracy and efficiency of the proposed method are tested using several test functions, and the results are compared with those obtained by the classical trapezoidal rule. The results show that the B-spline-based quadrature formula provides improved accuracy and stability in the numerical evaluation of definite integrals.
